Forum to share information, books, news, technology, issues in education, …. “Whatever, Whenever!”
On year ago today the first blog article, Up and Running!, was posted here at Tech Tips & Timely Tidbits. Since then there have been 86 posts with 115 comments – an average of seven posts a month. Not too shabby, especially since I tend to forget and/or am at a loss of what to write about.
Reflecting back upon the posts from this past year, I would like to think that I achieved my initial goal – to share news and tips in technology and education. I would like to think those of you who are reading the blog have found the links and news I’ve shared to be useful.
The most commented upon posts were: Up and Running! – with 13 comments; Banned Book Week & My Favorite Podcasts – both with 7 comments; and “Books w/Bite” TRW 2008 – with 6 comments. Of course, a few of those comments were my responses, but still, I appreciate the folks who let me know they were reading my words. I hope more folks will drop a line just to let me know you’re out there!
Thanks for tagging along for the last year, and I hope you stick around for the next ones!
Heather

Thanks, Fran. I faithfully read your blog, too, and learn from you, as well. See you in a couple of weeks at SCASL?! You are going aren’t you?

Hey Heather,
Congratulations on your birthday. Though I am new to your blog, I have found a number of your “tidbits” truly timely and helpful. Thanks for being my “resident expert” online!

OKay I am finally retrying the comment from my MAC since my Australian friend Sue Waters (who is highly connected with THE James Farmer of Edublogs fame) has assured me the issue with MACS and this theme is fixed. (I’ve been trying since Saturday, I think…)
Heather I always try to wish those I think I may have influenced into blogging a Blog Happy Birthday, I pt them on my Google calendar so I can remember when the time comes. I am sorry to be wishing you the belated birthday wish, and want to add that you have truly grown as a blogger–frequently stretching my thinking. Keep up the great work. I value your “tech tips and timely tidbits…”

@suewaters – thanks for the birthday wishes and for helping get my comments problem fixed! Don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t receive comments from Cathy!
@leah – good to hear from you! I miss the YABA committee, but not so much the seemingly endless reading! Glad you’re finding the items I share of use. I’m leaving a comment for you on the SCASL Ning.
@cathy – I truly extend my thanks to you – any progress/success I have at this stuff comes from your guidance. I may have had an interest in exploring, but w/o your encouragement, I’d probably not have jumped in so soon! You made it look so easy! I’m continually learning from the master!
