Its that time again! Time to register for the 2011 READ-IN. The 2011 READ-IN will be held at the State House in Columbia on Thursday, April 14, 2011. Come show your support and help us demonstrate the importance of reading and the need for library services in our communities! You can find past event photos on the SCASL Flickr pages. The deadline to apply to attend is Monday, March 15th.

I really want to attend the READ In this year – but as of right now, it is out of the question. The HSAP Math test is on April 14th. I am working with our guidance department to identify our junior and senior book club members who have passed this portion of the HSAP and then can present that list to my principal.
Yes, it is sad that it falls into the same week as HSAP. I’ve got a small group of book club girls (all 9th graders) who I’m going to ask to attend. I also have some folks from the Early Childhood Education class and the one Teacher Cadet student who will possibly be attending. This will be the first time I and my school will be participating. (fingers crossed!)
