Odds & Ends (11/16/10)

Yikes, I can’t believe it has been so long since I’ve done an Odds & Ends post.  Here are a few links I’ve been collecting.  I hope you find them useful!

Footnote.com – “The place for original historical documents online.”  Includes images/documents from The National Archive and The Library of Congress.

ThoughtAudio.com – ” … FREE library of classic literature and philosophy MP3 audio downloads.”

Poverty in America: Living Wage Calculator –  I’ve linked to my district’s Living Wage Calculator; however, this site provides information on all states and counties.

OurDocuments.gov – Contains “100 milestone documents of American history.”  Documents range from 1776 to 1965 (beginning with the Lee Document of 1776 and ending with the Voting Rights Act of 1965).

Free Federal Resource for Educational Excellence – “More than 1,500 federally supported teaching and learning resources are included from dozens of federal agencies.”
